Rapper Lil Durk’s affiliate Lamron Quan and Milwaukee rapper KD were shot in Chicago earlier this morning during an argument. Quan was found dead on the scene, and KD was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
Two rappers were reportedly shot and killed in Milwaukee on Monday night, according to local authorities.
According to the Associated Press, Lamron Quan, 19, and KD, 20, were both shot dead by an unknown assailant at 6:02 p.m. on Monday. Both men were reportedly affiliated with rapper Durk’s label – “Glory Boyz Entertainment.
Around 3:15 AM, a shooting occurred in the 1000 block of 15th Street N. Police discovered both victims to have gunshot wounds. One neighbor continued by saying that many people yelling and fighting woke him up. The neighbor heard three gunshots but wasn’t sure if it was between two men or a man and a woman. In a press release, police said that the two males were acquainted, but they provided no additional details.
“I talked to him last night, just a couple of hours before everything happened,” KD’s childhood friend Saanjai Lobley said. “I’m just trying to figure out and we’re trying to figure out what’s going on, what happened.”
Cousin Doneisa Wilson added, “I broke down and I got on my knees and I prayed and I kept praying that it wasn’t him and I kept calling his phone and he wasn’t answering and it broke my heart.”
The Fargo Police Department is requesting anyone with information to get in touch with them. No other information will be disclosed at this time, the police say, as there is an ongoing criminal investigation.
