Weeks after its release, Taylor Swift’s ‘Anti-Hero’ has managed to dominate the Billboard Hot 100 for the fourth week.
The album is on track to become the first female-led album in 12 years to have four weeks at number one on the chart.
Why is Taylor Swift’s Album Anti Hero so Popular?
It all depends on your level of amusement, joy, exasperation, or downright rage in response to a new Taylor Swift song with the chorus “It’s me / Hi / I’m the problem / It’s me.” The title of a brand-new Taylor Swift song is “Anti-Hero.” “Anti-Hero” is a brand-new Taylor Swift song that was jointly produced by her and Jack Antonoff.
“Anti-Hero,” a brand-new Taylor Swift song, is one of the two truly outstanding tracks on Midnights, her tenth album of electro-pop melancholy; if we’re doing Updated Taylor Album Rankings already, this one probably ends up in the bottom third, but don’t get too incensed (or amused!) just yet. The album was released on Friday after a protracted, cryptic, fan-electrifying, and mildly exasperate song called “Anti-Hero” which has a second stanza that is wonderful but also a little bit meme-happy. It goes like this:
The Inspiration Behind Anti-Hero
She sings, “I have this thing where I get older, but just never wiser / Midnights become my afternoons / When my depression works the graveyard shift, all of the folks / I’ve ghosted stand there in the room,” in the song about battling depression and the want to be antisocial.
Swift claimed that her nightmares and difficulties with self-hatred served as the song’s inspiration. Even the biggest international pop performers struggle with problems. She intended to demonstrate to her audience that she is far from perfect by doing this. But looking into it is OK. So perhaps her listeners should do the same.
Initial impressions of the album Anti hero
One of my favourite songs I’ve ever written is Track 3, “Anti-Hero.” Swift stated, “I truly don’t think I’ve delved into my fears in this depth before. I encounter issues with a life that has grown “unmanageably enormous” as a result of my celebrity. “I just battle with the thought of not feeling like a person,” the speaker said, trying not to seem too depressing.
Don’t feel too awful for me,” Swift hastily added at this moment. You are not required. But, you know, this song really takes you on a tour of everything I tend to despise in myself. We all dislike certain aspects of ourselves. Since I believe it to be quite honest, I truly enjoy “Anti-Hero.”
What to Expect From the Album Anti hero
With Anti-Hero, Taylor has already maintained the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the previous two weeks. Additionally, Swift herself directed the music video for the first single, Anti-Hero. It depicts the singer letting her doppelganger in and making her fears worse overall. After outcry for encouraging unfavourable body images, the word “fat” was taken out of the video. Expect the attention to soaring now that Jack Antonoff has produced a duet remix of the song with Swift, replacing “sexy baby” with “art bros.”
Comparisons to Other Artists
As Taylor Swift’s single “Anti-Hero” continued to hold the top spot on the Hot 100, Drake and Swift resumed their competition as two of the most successful musicians in chart history. Their new album Her Loss by Drake and 21 Savage arrived at No. 1 on Billboard’s 200 albums list.
With 513.56 million streams, Her Loss has the fourth-largest streaming week ever, trailing only Drake’s Scorpion (745.92 million), Certified Lover Boy (743.67 million), and Swift’s Midnights (549.26 million).
