While riding in a Rolls-Royce owned by a member of the Korean royal family, Atlanta rapper J Money reportedly got shot and had his property stolen while being held up.
Fox News reports that the incident happened on Friday, November 18, about 4:20 p.m. outside the opulent Kurve apartment building in Los Angeles’ Koreatown.
According to LAPD police, the victim, who was between the ages of 25 and 30, was shot, had his Rolex and three chains stolen, and Andrew Lee, a businessman and Korean royal, was seated inside a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
J Money, an Atlanta rapper, has been identified as the victim by Hollywood Unlocked (real name Jermaine Miller). According to officials, Miller was conscious and breathing when paramedics arrived. He was later reported to be in critical condition after being transported to the hospital.
Police believe there were two male suspects involved, both of whom fled the scene of the crime after the robbery and shooting. Although an investigation has been launched, no arrests have been made.
It’s unclear why J Money (aka SauceGod) was in Lee’s car, but the two appear to know one another, as Lee — who also raps as KingLee — appears on J’s latest track, “Dun It All,” which was released on October 28.
J Money and KingLee appear in a Gutta TV video posted to YouTube on October 31 alongside Lil Flip, who freestyles while shopping at a gas station.
As J Money approaches the car he’s in, KingLee loves to brag about the weed he’s smoking. The two then pose for photos in front of a couple of classic cars parked on the gas station’s forecourt.
Lee is the crown prince of Korea’s imperial family and the heir to the Joseon Dynasty, which ruled the country from 1392 to 1897. He was born and raised in Indiana and is the founder of London Trust Media.
Lee was identified as a relative by Korea’s Imperial Highness King Yi Seok in 2018 and named him the family’s crown prince. The Korean Royal Family has no real power, but they still receive media attention and “preference and recognition” within the country.
